Alleged leak says new Halo 3 video coming to Marketplace Dec. 20.

Microsoft can't keep secrets, can they? A Microsoft employee blogged about an alleged video documentary coming to the Marketplace on Bungie's Halo 3. From the rumor-y blog posting:
On December 20 a new Halo 3 video will be available on marketplace. It's a 7 minute video that will be released next week. It highlights the emergence of the Brutes as playable characters in the game. It touches on their skills, origins, and how they are being created. It has about 2 and a half minutes of gameplay footage.
The discussion picked up over at NeoGAF and Bungie Content Manager Frank O'Connor squashed the rumor of "playable Brutes" like a bug. Another GAF poster chimed in claiming to be from the same department as the MSoft blogger who leaked the information.
Officially, Bungie confirmed that a new "VIDOC" was in the works in the Happy Halo Day! posting at their site: "This next "VIDOC" is going to give some new insights into elements of the campaign and will peel back the curtain on a certain prominent character in Halo 3. We'll talk more about this in the coming weeks."
When we asked Microsoft about the leak they told us they hadn't "made any announcements at this time." Like we said above, Microsoft can't keep secrets -- we're expecting a new video on Halo 3 next Wednesday on Marketplace. Focusing on the Brutes would make sense considering the information that Bungie has given out this year -- the Halo 3 cover focused somewhat heavily on the evolution of the Brute fiction (new weapons, tech). As far as seeing gameplay footage like the rumor reported? We're not holding our breath, but our fingers are crossed.
