PlayStation 3 and Wii Post-Hype Reviews


It's hard to believe, but a month has already elapsed since the Nintendo Wii and PlaysStation 3 (PS3) first arrived on GameDaily’s doorstep.

The squatters who waited outside in the cold for days have finally gotten over their flu viruses. Anyone who paid big dollars on eBay for their units -- your wallets may never recover from such a violation.

The Wii has already broken sales records, as well as some HDTVs (see wiihaveaproblem.com). The PS3 is indeed hot... quite literally. Who knew you'd be able to watch Talladega Nights in 1080p and roast a Cornish game hen on the top of the unit at the same time?

But finally, after almost four solid weeks of playtime, we're all starting to see our new consoles with clearer, launch dust-free eyes. For instance, which console is fits most comfortably into our lives/home entertainment units? Which console already has a fine layer of dust on top of it? Which games are in heavy rotation? Why isn't Nintendo's Wii browser running yet? Why is the PS3 constantly hungry for those painfully long system updates? Who’s really watching Blu-ray movies?
