PS3 Ships a Million in Japan

Sony crosses the mark a couple of weeks late.If there's one thing IGN has noticed walking the streets of Tokyo of late, it's that the PlayStation 3 is everywhere. Since the start of the new year, we've been able to find Sony's next gen console waiting for purchase at pretty much every retailer we've visited.
It turns out that there's a reason for this. Sony has managed to pretty much double its domestic shipment figure in the first two weeks of January.
The company announced today that as of 1/16, it has crossed the one million shipped mark throughout Japan. This figure includes Japan only, and not the rest of Asia.
