Sony Unveils Huge LCD Displays

70- and 82-inchers on the way.During a press conference at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Randy Waynick, vice president of Sony Electronics' Home Products Division, showcased the company's new 70-inch Bravia flat-panel LCD.
According to Waynick , the high-def television features a new backlighting system and contrast ratio enhancements. In addition, the set boasts three HDMI ports for 1080p connectivity to Blu-ray devices.
In addition, the company showed prototypes of an 82-inch Bravia and the ultra-thin OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode). That device was 27 inches.
