Wii FINDS MORE FANS, PS3 LESS POPULAR
Saturday
Readers told us recently that they're passing up Sony's PlayStation 3 in favor of Nintendo's Wii, and that they're closely watching the ``war'' between Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats. Here are excerpts:
I live in Castle Rock, Colo., the southern tip of metro Denver. I stopped by the local (and very busy) EB Games (last) Saturday, and there was a large hand-written sign stating ``We have PS3's in stock.'' When asked about Wiis, ``Maybe next week.''
I was promised a Wii for X-mas from my wife, and already have ``Twilight Princess'' and ``Trauma Center'' (games) -- and have been looking around for a Wii non-stop. No luck out here at all.

My wife and I got a gift card to Best Buy and went there the Thursday after Christmas. When we walked into the store, they had a table set up with about five Wiis and maybe eight or nine PS3s. I grabbed a Wii, and the last one got taken as I was standing there talking to the employee. The PS3s didn't seem to be moving at all.
