Recent "Xbox 360 Core" price cut was an error. Or was it?
Thursday
It has been widely reported this week on the internet that the UK game retailer Play.com dropped the price of the Xbox 360 Core System a whopping 25% (£149.99) making it cheaper than the Nintendo Wii priced at £179.99. Sorry to tell you this folks but it appears the price has returned to the original £199.99.See the product page here.
Was this simple human error? Was it a case of a retailer jumping the gun and posting a "yet to be officially announced" price cut too early?
If the latter is the case this could be another indication that the Zephyr (the rumored black 360) is on the way. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
