Windows Vista being replaced. Windows 7 on the horizon.
Saturday
Windows Vista has only been out a few months and is already on the list to be replaced by Microsoft according to an article published in Maximum PC Magazine October 2007 issue. The working title of the new windows is " Windows 7" but will probably be changed to a more consumer friendly title at some point. The target date for release of this new OS is 2010.
According to the Maximum PC article " Microsoft is now all about frequent OS releases: a significantly overhauled OS every 4 years, with minor updates falling in the interim years. The ultimate goal is to move users to an OS subscription model thus annualizing software revenue."
It looks like we will have to dig a little more often in our pockets to use Microsoft's OS.
